Holiday apartments by the sea

Stroll to the beach, wander along the pier and ease into a relaxing break in the UK’s most talked about seaside town (not to mention the sunniest spot!).

Central Breaks is brand new to our portfolio and has been completely renovated to provide spacious family-friendly accommodation in prime central Eastbourne.

You can be in the swimming in the sea within a couple of minutes from your front door, heading out with just your towel and goggles, looking skyward whilst bobbing around, seagulls floating overhead.

You’ll have earned your breakfast on your return so step out onto your roof terrace and that croissant and orange juice will never taste so good, with outdoor furniture and sun loungers to soak up the sun (did I mention that that Eastbourne is the UK’s sunniest spot??).

Eastbourne has been named by Conde Nast and Time Out as the #1 place to visit in the UK this year – that wonderful three-mile long beach is such a draw, but there is such a trove of treats to enjoy – Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park is an invigorating walk away for clifftop wonders, whilst you have four theatres within 10 minutes of the apartment and the Towner contemporary gallery hosts one of the most significant public art collections on the south coast and also hosts this year’s Turner Prize.

With such a central location you have the cafes, shops and restaurants literally on your doorstep – but rest assured that the windows and sound-proofing are excellent meaning that there is an air of tranquility in the holiday accommodation.

The Beacon shopping centre is two minutes away, with Cineworld cinema complex, and the iconic Eastbourne Pier, Eastbourne bandstand, Grand Hotel and Devonshire Park tennis are very close by. Eastbourne College, Bedes School and Brighton University have campuses nearby and there are a number of English language schools close by (ELC, St Giles, LTC and EF) so this accommodation will provide an excellent base for families and participants.

Reviews

Funny name! - Spacious and airy, convenient location but lots of stairs. Great apartment. This is a new holiday apartment on the books of Exclusively Eastbourne, so didn't have any reviews to go by, but judging by the quality of other Exclusively Eastbourne apartments we have stayed in we knew it would be good and we weren't disappointed. It was newly decorated throughout and the use of large mirrors throughout the different floors kept it light and airy. It is right in the centre of town, so convenient, close to the shops & station, and a short walk to the seafront as well as the theatres and the Towner art gallery. The soundproofing of the windows is good, so even on a lively Saturday night, you can shut most of it out if you wanted to. There is plenty of space, and loads of cupboard spaces, some a surprise! The top floor bedrooms both have deep walk in wardrobes, and the wallpaper on one wall in each bedroom is lovely. Mind you don't bang your head on the roof angle in the corner of the bedroom though. In one bedroom you look out towards the Downs. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space to put things away which is a bonus, as often cupboard space can be lacking. There was complimentary teas, coffee pods, hot chocolate, milks etc Out of the kitchen through the double doors is the stairs down to a large balcony space - we just didn't get time to make use of it. 2 toilet rooms, one bathroom and one shower room with a toilet means there are no arguments. (And I love the deep storage in the bathroom) If you don't like stairs this is not the place for you - if you count the stairs from the street to the top bedrooms there are 61 steps in all. It didn't worry us, though carrying suitcases up & down does test you! The street that the front door faces is round the back of the shops, with alot of bins and just a couple of parking spaces. So not the most welcoming street to look at, though the apartment frontage itself looks smart. We stopped outside to unload before heading off to park in roads off the nearby roundabout ( parking permits £2 a day in H zones, and even in the busyness of airshow days we found places to park ok). Shoes off & into the spacious shoe storage bench, inside the front door, with plenty of coat hooks and high overhead cubby holes, then wind your way up the stairs and you're in!
