The fully furnished holiday cottage, set in the Upperton area, is less than 10 minutes’ walk to Eastbourne train station and is set in delightful gardens – providing the perfect antidote to busy professional lives.
Unique cottages for adults only
This one-bedroom cottage provides a homely, adults-only base, ideal for those who need easy access to amenities and transport, plus historical sites and parks.
You’ll meander through the garden to reach your own private entrance (the owner’s house is adjacent, but separate). The front door opens into a light, open-plan living space, complete with a comfy sofa in front of the TV and a small dining table, which can double up as a work space if you want to catch up on your emails.
Although you may prefer to sit at the little table in the garden to enjoy supper as the sun goes down.
The separate kitchen is well equipped, with an oven, hob, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, washing machine, coffee machine and plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. A clothes airer is available if you need to dry washing.
The tranquil bedroom has a double bed, and the bathroom has a bath with shower over. There is constant hot water available and this is one of those unique cottages that works well throughout the winter too, with central heating creating a cosy getaway.
All linen and towels are provided, WiFi is provided, and free parking is available in the adjacent lane. This property is for non-smoking adults only – smoking is not permitted either inside the cottage or outside in the garden.
The train station and bus station are less than 10 minutes walk away, provides direct links to London, Gatwick airport, Lewes, Brighton and Ashford International. The beach and promenade are also easily walkable.
This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted either inside or outside and this property is only suitable for non-smokers.
There is a week-long minimum stay, although shorter stays may be possible out of season. Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
