A minute from the beach, Hummingbird Cottage offers a fresh, modern holiday home by the sea for up to four people.

Imagine enjoying breakfast outside in your private garden with the sun shining down, planning the day’s adventures ahead – now is the time to plan a trip to Eastbourne on the Sunshine Coast in England.

With two bedrooms, each with a double bed, this holiday home by the sea provides an ideal base for couples, friends and families to explore the South coast of England – for fun on the beaches, countryside romps in the South Downs National Park and visits to nearby historical treats such as Pevensey Castle and Battle, the scene of the most famous conquest in English history in 1066 and the beginning of the Norman reign.

Recently renovated with love and thought throughout, the cottage has warmth and comfort beyond a regular holiday rental, allowing you to relax and take in the fresh sea air.

You’ll find a well equipped kitchen with all the equipment you’ll need for self catering, with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, kettle, washing machine and dishwasher so you’ll have everything to hand. That is if the tempting choice of restaurants and cafe in Sovereign Harbour don’t keep you permanently out of your kitchen! There is also a dining table with seating for four people in the kitchen.

The thick new carpets will tickle your toes as you potter around the house.

The lounge offers real comfort with a sofa and armchair, decadent throws and cushions, books to browse and a relaxed vibe, with natural light pouring into the room thanks to the French doors which open out onto your terrace and private back garden.

There is also a handy downstairs cloakroom.

Head upstairs for the two sumptuous bedrooms with storage and French dressers.

There are two bathrooms upstairs – one an ensuite to the master bedroom with a shower and the other a family bathroom with a bath and shower over it.

All linen and regular towels are provided (but please bring your own beach / swimming towels), with additional linen supplied for stays of two weeks or more.  Free WiFi is also provided and there is an allocated off-street parking space in front of the house.

Minimum age of lead guest is 25+. This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted. No parties.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time.

Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required. The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence.
