Say ‘Hello’ to Sovereign Sunrise, a five-bedroom holiday home which sleeps up to nine guests in beds – so ideal for extended families and groups of friends who fancy a seaside break and escape from busy city lives.

Think glorious, modern townhouse, set over four floors, so plenty of space to enjoy together (or hide in if you need some quiet time on your own).

The location is prime Sovereign Harbour, in a private, gated enclave which is a very easy stroll to the Waterfront, with its irresistible collection of independent cafes and restaurants, plus the retail park with a large Asda, Boots, Next and Sports Direct; meaning that you won’t have to go far if relaxation is top of your holiday to-do list.

There are distant side sea views over the outer harbour you can enjoy from the balcony and there are private outdoor areas for fresh air and even more space in which to unwind.

The accommodation is set out with the ground floor offering a bedroom with a single bed and home office desk set up (perfect for those working from home), with doors leading to the private terrace with outdoor dining set. There is also a downstairs shower room set next door to this bedroom.

Head up to the first floor for the well equipped, spotless kitchen, with washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven, induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and everything you’ll need for self catering. There is a dining table for six and a juliette balcony providing lots of natural light for a relaxed vibe.

Just along the hall is the comfortable lounge, with a large Smart TV in front of the sumptuous sofa and armchair. French doors lead out to the balcony with chairs from which you can look over the outer harbour, and an exterior stairway down to your ground floor terrace. There is also a cloakroom/WC set on this floor.

On the second floor you’ll find two bedrooms – a handy triple with a kingsize and a single bed, plus built in storage, and a double bedroom. These two bedrooms share the family bathroom on this level, which has a bath with a shower over.

Lovely family holiday rental. I recently stayed at Sovereign Sunrise for a big family getaway and it exceeded all expectations. The house is situated in the picturesque South Sovereign Harbour area of Eastbourne, offering stunning views of the sea. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which is really handy for a big family! The master suite upstairs is stunning, but I must warn that there are a lot of stairs so whoever sleeps in the top floor rooms must be prepared for the climb! It's not Disability-Friendly, so if any of your party are not comfortable with stairs, this is not the house for you unfortunately. The interior of the house is modern and tastefully furnished. It was evident that great care had been taken in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests, especially families as they also provided some board games and toys for young ones to play with. There was also a washer-dryer so this was really handy because we were a large family, so it meant that we didn't have to bring as many clothes, we just washed and reused our clothes. Overall, Sovereign Sunrise provided the perfect setting for a seaside getaway with family. I would highly recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious, and well-located accommodation in Eastbourne. I look forward to returning in the future.

The Small Print

This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted, including on the terrace and balconies. No parties. Minimum age of lead guest is 25+

There is a week-long minimum stay, with Sunday changeovers in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible out of season or last minute.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £500 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
