Wellington Quay is a unique and outstanding waterfront holiday home, ideal for extended families and friends, with private berth and jetty and fabulous views across the marina (please contact us if you wish to bring your boat!).
The holiday home is arguably the finest available in Sovereign Harbour (winning a Unique Holiday Cottages Group Getaway Award), and enjoys a south-facing position from which to enjoy the private terraces and gardens.
Modern, comfortable and practical, the home provides six large bedrooms to sleep up to 12, with additional space for babies (ask if you need the cot or high chair getting out), for the ultimate social gatherings.
Imagine being by the fire with a book in a cosy lounge or soaking up the rays on the private decks during the summer months in the UK’s sunniest town, or perhaps hiding in the conservatory as you watch the boats pass by.
Waterfront holiday home for families and friends
In the lounge there are plenty of sofas and chairs around the TV, and French doors leading out onto the terrace.
The breakfast room and kitchen, with large informal dining table for up to 12 people, is well equipped with a range cooker and hob and is packed with all the utensils you’ll need, plus microwave, coffee machine, toaster and dishwasher. The separate utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge-freezer and sink area.
The separate dining room seats up to eight, providing useful extra space to plan the adventures ahead or a separate ‘adults-only’ dining area. There is also a study on the ground floor, with a desk if you need to catch up on emails, plus a sofa and a second TV/DVD player if you can’t agree what to watch.
All bedrooms are large (no one will feel short-changed) and provide good levels of storage, often built-in. Five of these are situated on the first floor (three with water views) and there is a twin bedroom on the ground floor – with toilet opposite.
The principle bedroom has a super kingsize bed (or two twin beds if you prefer), marina views, plus an ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower for space and flexibility.
The second bedroom also has a super kingsize bed (which can split into two separate single beds) and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom three provides a permanent kingsize, and there are a further two bedrooms on the first floor, each set up with twin beds, plus a separate family bathroom, with bath and separate shower.
All linen and towels are provided, with additional linen supplied for stays of more than a week. WiFi is provided and there is ample parking for up to four cars on the driveway and in the double garage (where you can also store bicycles or scooters).
Well-behaved neutered / spayed adult dogs are also considered for the ground floor (supplement will apply) – please contact us to discuss your requirements.
The cafes, restaurants and shops in Sovereign Harbour are an easy stroll away, whilst Eastbourne is just an hour’s walk along the promenade or a quick 10 minute drive. There are many historical sites just a short trip away, including Pevensey and Bodium Castles, whilst Battle, arguably the most important place in English history, is around 20 minutes away (take a tour around the battlefield!).

Beautiful well equipped and relaxing home from home in a great location. Eastbourne is the sunniest place in England, and this lovely home is a great place to stay and enjoy all the area has to offer. Quiet cul de sac location. The house is very well appointed and well equipped, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate 12 people. Large kitchen, large lounge, lovely conservatory and deck area overlooking the marina. All the bedrooms are well furnished and presented with plenty of storage. Information pack provided is full of all you need to know about Sovereign Harbour and also the wider area attractions. A few restaurants in the harbour area but only 1 supermarket. You need to go a little further afield to Eastbourne or Bexhill to get a better range. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there, and would not hesitate to recommend it, particularly for a multi generation family holiday as it has everything you need to satisfy all ages.
Stayed for a long weekend with friends to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary. House was great location, was amazing looking straight out onto the harbour. Restaurants were in walking distance and shops, cinema every thing so near. We had lovely walks to the beach. I would go back again and stay in the same house, it had plenty of room with 6 bedrooms and a lovely conservatory which we used lot - can't wait to go back again!
Fabulous place to stay! This house is absolutely amazing; we stayed here to celebrate a family birthday and could not fault the house one bit. I am not too sure where to start but here are our highlights from our stay: • Kitchen – fantastic entertaining space to whip up a group meal, very well equipped and spacious so everyone can chip in! • All the bedrooms are good sizes with some amazing views • There is both a large sitting room with plenty of comfortable seating and a formal dining room • The conservatory is a good size straight off from the kitchen with great views over the harbour and if the sun is shining, you can then access the outside deck, which is a fantastic suntrap. The deck and conservatory overlook the private jetty and you can easily while away an afternoon watching the boats pass • Location is brilliant with access to the marina facilities including several restaurants and cafes. If you don’t fancy cooking we can recommend the Thai restaurant, amazing food and service • I have to mention the location again, if you fancy going for a walk there is plenty of stunning scenery to take in, either the local beach or a short drive you can visit the Seven Sisters, Beachy Head etc. – pack your walking shoes! We will certainly be back to this stunning place.
Fab get away but all the amenities of home.....and fantastic location. Lovely house, think it has 6 bedrooms but we only used 3 of them! The location is superb...right on the marina with its own boat dock. Although you are located right in the marina it is still quiet. The house is in a close so not lots of traffic or anything like that. Ample parking for at least 4 cars...probably more. I like to cook so was looking closely at the kitchen, it had everything I needed to make a nice dinner, and of course because it is design for a lot of people to stay there were plenty of crockery and utensils etc. Large kitchen table we used every day, and has a more formal dining room that we never bothered with that. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck just watching the activity in the Marina. Walking distance (10 mins max) to the restaurants in the Marina, and 10 mins walk to a supermarket (3 mins drive) so easy to stock up on food and groceries down here rather than cart it with you. used the house as a base to explore the area, which of course is famously near Hastings and everything from AD1066 ! kids enjoyed that side of our holiday...would definitely use the house again and probably for more people as it is huge.
Beautiful, spacious house with stunning harbour views. We stayed at Wellington Quay with a group friends and their families. There was plenty of space for us all to have our own rooms and bathrooms and the spacious kitchen and dining facilities made it easy to sit round the table and chat. The house is in a great location being an easy walk to restaurants and shops but away from any noise. We even went for a swim in the sea!
Great place to stay in a fantastic location. The house is fantastic - very comfortable with plenty of space for all 12 of us! The garden being directly on the harbour is fantastic - a very relaxing place to sit. We spent most of the time in the conservatory which overlooks the garden and harbour. Plenty of good food nearby, and plenty of places to walk and see the boats. All staff from Exclusively Eastbourne were very helpful and friendly. Overall we all had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
Stunning property. Wow! What a place. An amazing setting, a short walk from a retail park and some restaurants but tucked away and quiet. Plenty of space to sit round the table for 10 of us and rooms very flexible with some being able to be made up as twins or doubles. We will definitely be back... to enjoy the outside more in a warmer time of year.
Die Unterkunft ist in einer sehr schönen, ruhigen Wohngegend gelegen. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz und entspricht genau den Fotos auf der Homepage. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Ein Supermarkt ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt. Zudem sind einige gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Wir trafen das Haus in einem sehr sauberen Zustand an. Es hatte einen ganzen Ordner mit Prospekten für Ausflugsziele rund um Eastbourne. Über einen schönen Promenadenweg gelangt man in ca. 50 min zum Pier nach Eastbourne. Wir würden Exclusively Eastbourne sofort wieder empfehlen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und unkompliziert als wir die Schlüssel in Empfang nahmen.
Perfect holiday rental. This house certainly has the wow factor, would definitely rebook and recommend it to friends, the view over the harbour was stunning. A great place to unwind, enjoy the views and all the home comforts. The house was spotless and Exclusively Eastbourne were so friendly and accommodating and I would book with them if I was returning to this area. Restaurants were within easy walking distance as well as shops and a cinema. The house was spacious and well equipped, we book a family get together every year and I’d say this was one of the best houses we have booked, great value for money for the house and location.
This property does not accept groups for parties. Pets may be considered (supplement applies) so please call to discuss. Smoking is not permitted.
There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Friday to Friday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £500 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £400 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the house.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
