Sussex holidays should offer easy access to all that is wonderful about this county – with beaches galore, historic sites, forest walks and the most inspiring countryside in the South Downs National Park.
Sailor’s Rest is a modern apartment in Sovereign Harbour, offering the most mesmerising views over the inner harbour, with bobbing boats and sun all afternoon long. Open the wide double doors in the living room to take in the nautical vision and head out onto your private balcony, with a small table and chairs.
With two double bedrooms, the immaculate apartment makes a perfect base for families and couples in need of an escape from stressful lives and all that Sussex holidays can offer.
Set on the first floor in a private, gated and sought-after position in the prestigious South Harbour area, light cascades throughout the apartment thanks to an open-plan layout.
The living room has two comfy sofas from which to take in the views or to generally relax in front of the large Smart TV. There is also a dining table and benches next to the balcony to seat four.
For once you’ll be delighted to spend time in the kitchen whilst on holiday as you can enjoy the water views from the coffee machine and indeed the whole of the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a hob, oven, washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster, plus plenty of cutlery, pans and equipment.
There are no short straws with the bedrooms and both offer large beds – the master bedroom has a permanent kingsize bed and stacks of built-in storage so no need to skimp on your packing. The second bedroom has two single beds which can also be made as a super-kingsize bed if required (please advise when booking).
There are two spotless bathrooms – the main bathroom has a bath with a shower attachment and the ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom has a shower cubicle.
With fully controllable heating you can enjoy Sussex holidays year-round, so make the most of quieter periods out of season with strolls around Sovereign Harbour and along the promenade to Eastbourne to check out the Victorian pier, Congress and Devonshire Park theatres and Towner Gallery which often hosts free exhibitions.
The Beacon Centre now has a multiplex cinema as well as shops galore and our guest information folder (which we provide in every holiday property we offer) comes stacked with our recommendations on where to eat and what to see – we’re all local after all and can give you the inside track!
Alternatively head left at the seafront and walk to Pevensey Bay and further along to Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings. There are train stations along the way for an easier trip home 🙂
If you don’t fancy the stairs to the first floor, there is the easy option of a lift with your luggage.

The Small Print
This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted. No parties please.
There is a week-long minimum stay, with Sunday changeovers in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible out of season or last minute.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
