South Downs Garden Cottage is brand new to our portfolio and offers pristine, but comfortable holiday accommodation in Meads village, Eastbourne’s most desirable location and the set off point for the South Downs Way.
Charming Meads Village places you moments from the beautiful beaches of Eastbourne, and the foot of the South Downs National Park. A 20 minute stroll across the top and you soon reach the famous cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, with Belle Tout lighthouse and Birling Gap beyond.
Meads Village offers a tempting selection of independent restaurants and cafes, shops and boutiques. The Ship and The Pilot Inn are also arguably two of Eastbourne’s leading pubs, both offering great British food and a sophisticated atmosphere.

The Small Print
Minimum age of lead guest is 25+. This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted. No parties.
There is a week-long minimum stay, with Saturday changeovers in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible out of season or last minute.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
