East Sussex holiday cottage in Meads, Eastbourne
Our East Sussex holiday cottage cottages in the sought-after Meads village area of Eastbourne prove to be very popular holiday accommodation. Meads Haven is perfect for friends and family looking for a quiet escape close to the glorious South Downs and the coast.
The holiday cottage is close to genteel Meads village high street, with independent shops, cafes and some great pub restaurants. Central Eastbourne is also just 15 minute walk away, with theatres, art gallery and the newly refurbished Beacon Centre, with shops, restaurants and multiplex cinema.
You’re spoilt for choice to outdoorsy activities close by – with Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters clifftops and the magical South Downs National Park literally up the road. Or head to the seafront (via coffee and cake at the Black Cat Cafe on Meads High Street), potter down to the Italian Gardens at Holywell and fossil-hunt below the cliffs before a plunge in front of the beach huts.
Eastbourne is full of old-school charm, fresh air and 5 miles of beach-front promenade to saunter along, all the way to Sovereign Harbour.
St Andrews and Bedes schools are also close by and Brighton University’s Denton Rd campus is only three minutes’ walk whilst Eastbourne College is only about 10 minutes’ walk away.
This East Sussex holiday cottage has been recently refurbished and is both comfortable and spacious, sleeping up to four people in the two bedrooms.
There is a large master bedroom with kingsize bed, with built-in wardrobe offering good storage space, plus additional drawers.
The second bedroom has twin beds.
The spotless, modern bathroom has a bath with an invigorating rain shower over for ease and flexibility.

Reviews
Most enjoyable stay in a very pleasant holiday home The location of the house in Meads was perfect for us: a quiet, leafy area of Eastbourne, within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, the seafront and the town and station, to which there were also good bus connections. Above all, it was only a stone‘s throw from the start of the South Downs Way, with wonderful coastal walks to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. The house was very clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated, with a nice little patio and garden. We felt very at home there. We found it a bit tricky turning the heating on at first, but managed after following the trouble-shooting instructions provided. May 14, 2024
