Situated next to the much-loved Ship Inn on Meads High Street, you’ll find yourself perfectly placed to enjoy village life, with independent cafés, restaurants, and local shops right on your doorstep.

The property features two beautifully appointed bedrooms including a master with a king-size bed and its own ensuite shower room.  The second bedroom has two single beds and there is a second contemporary bathroom which includes an elegant bathtub with a shower over, making this luxury holiday cottage in Meads Eastbourne ideal for families or couples sharing.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a gas hob, double oven (one of which is a microwave oven), fridge-freezer and a washer dryer.  The tranquil living area includes a smart TV and seating at one end, with a dining table at the other. Step outside from your kitchen and living room to discover your own private sun-trap back garden, a peaceful spot for morning coffee, lazy afternoons, or an evening drink after a day exploring the coast.

Just a two-minute stroll brings you to Meads seafront, where you can wander along the promenade or head west towards the dramatic cliffs of Beachy Head and the iconic Seven Sisters Cliffs for invigorating coastal walks. Heading east, the promenade leads all the way to the ever-popular Eastbourne Pier and beyond to the Sovereign Harbour marina area.

Meads itself is widely regarded as Eastbourne’s most sought-after area, combining a relaxed seaside feel with a vibrant village atmosphere. From here, central Eastbourne attractions including the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, Towner Eastbourne, theatres, and the town centre are all within an easy 20–25 minute walk – though you may find little reason to leave the charm of Meads itself.

The cottage is fully equipped with free WiFi, making it easy to stay connected if needed – whether that’s catching up on emails or fitting in the occasional Zoom call between coastal walks.

Crisp white linen and fresh, fluffy towels are provided for your stay, with additional linen supplied for bookings of two weeks or more. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own beach or swimming towels.

Smoking is not permitted.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a £50 supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the apartment.
