Spacious, comfortable, South Downs Way accommodation

The country cottage is traditionally styled for comfort and practicality, sleeping up to six people across three double bedrooms – ideal for friends on a couples getaway or larger families in need of an escape from busy, urban lives.

The kitchen-diner is bathed in natural light and comes fully equipped with an electric range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and separate dryer, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, toaster (plus old school sandwich toaster!) and all the utensils you’ll need for the freedom of full self catering.  There is a country-style dining table to seat six people.

The living area has been well furnished with traditional pieces, and provides ample comfortable seating with two sofas and three easy chairs.  There is a Smart TV to ensure that you don’t miss out on your favourite box sets, plus DVD player, and a stereo complete with CD, radio and even a tape deck if you want to put on a few tunes. After all the walking you’ll need to relax and get ready for the next adventure.

The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, while the toilet is separate – so you’re not stuck if someone is enjoying a peaceful soak.

The main rear garden provides a delightful mix of maintained lawn and flower beds closest to the house, with a lovely wildlife garden area at the far end.  Set on a hillside which captures the sun beautifully, there is a garden seat with the perfect vantage point to take in Belle Tout lighthouse in the distance and the sea beyond. There is a handy picnic bench at the side of the house which provides a lovely spot for lunch or to just generally soak up some of the sun and a charcoal barbecue is available for you to use (coals can be bought locally).

The hillside setting does mean that you’ll need reliable legs to handle the slope. It will work wonders for your calves by the end of the week.   Given the country setting and access to delightful walks, the holiday cottage is thankfully dog friendly – well behaved, neutered adult dogs are considered (£50 supplement per dog applies – please contact us with more details on your dog to ensure a good fit).

There is free WiFi in this South Downs Way accommodation and parking for two cars on the driveway.  Linen and standard towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the cottage.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent. Strictly no smoking throughout the house.
