Family friendly holiday home in Sussex

Sussex holiday rentals that offer views of the sea and of the South Downs are in very short supply – especially high quality self catering accommodation big enough for large families.

Downs View is a brand new holiday home to our portfolio and has been completely renovated throughout to provide an impressive, spacious and family friendly holiday home in Eastbourne, Sussex.

The large and decadently stylish holiday rental has four bedrooms and sleeps up to six adults; plus with a fold-out single bed suitable for a child and a further toddler bed, can accommodate families of up to eight.

Downs View is a large townhouse providing self catering accommodation in Sussex over three floors, offering a variety of areas to relax together or to find your own space. There are lounges on both the ground and first floors floors, with comfortable seating and smart TVs in each of these stylish reception rooms.

The immaculate holiday home is a handsome sight from street level, with steps leading up to the front door. The raised ground floor benefits from high ceilings, which create a real sense of calm and space.

A living room at the front of the house takes in lots of natural light from the large windows, and you can unwind on a large sofa, armchair and colourful beanbag in front of the fireplace.

The separate dining room with French doors leading to the rear garden, has a table and benches for a convivial feel.

You’ll love the beautifully designed, modern and well equipped kitchen. Perfectly equipped for self catering, with induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. A cappuccino or a cuppa will taste even better sat around the island, catching up about the day’s adventures or perhaps planning activities for tomorrow.

Large sliding patio doors provide natural light and lead out into a private and enclosed garden at the rear, with decking and comfortable seating outside, plus shrubs and trees casting welcome shade and a natural backdrop.

There is also a handy (and elegantly designed) downstairs cloakroom.

Head up the ornate, original staircase and onto plush carpet to the first floor which again has a lounge at the front of the house, with two large sofas and armchair in front of the fireplace, which beautifully captures the afternoon sunshine.

There is an immaculate bathroom with a large walk-in shower you’ll be reluctant to leave.

Two bedrooms are situated on this first floor; a large room with a single bed plus a fold-out bed for a child, and a single bedroom with an extra mini bed for a young child (we suggest up to 5 years old).

The top (second) floor has a majestic bedroom at the front of the house with fine views out over the start of the South Downs and into the National Park and there are even distant views of the sea. The bedroom has a super-kingsize bed plus a chaise longue and storage. I promise you will fight over this bedroom!

There is a large and spotless family bathroom on the second floor with an indulgent vibe, offering a stand-alone bathtub and separate large walk-in shower.  There is a further bedroom on this floor with a kingsize bed, giving you four bedrooms in total.
