This period property is set in atmospheric Old Town Eastbourne, with fine views of the exquisite 12th-century St Mary’s church. It is just a short walk from delightful Gildredge Park, Waitrose, the historic Lamb Inn and Eastbourne town centre.
Natural light cascades throughout the whole ground floor to provide a calming atmosphere. Enhanced by flame-effect fires in both reception rooms and with gas central heating throughout, this is an excellent year-round base.
The cottage is deceptively spacious, with open-plan sitting and dining areas that can be divided if families need quiet space. The inviting sitting room has a sofa and two armchairs, plus a smart TV with access to online entertainment. The stylish dining table seats up to six and a door from the dining area lead to the modern kitchen.
The brand new kitchen is stylish but practical, with a cooker, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and microwave. There is also all the utensils you need for self catering holidays.
The cottage sleeps up to four comfortably, with the master offering a kingsize bed and the second bedroom a twin. The spotless bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate bath for the choice of an invigorating blast or an indulgent soak.

Open the French doors into the private rear garden and you’ll appreciate the wonderful location adjacent to the majestic 12th century church. There is also a BBQ for you to enjoy on those summer evenings and you could store bikes if on cycling holidays.
The cottage is surrounded by a fascinating mix of historic sites and fantastic countryside to explore on foot or bicycle. Enjoy coastal and clifftop walks in the glorious South Downs, or meander around idyllic villages such as East Dean and Friston and nourish yourself in traditional country pubs.
Central Eastbourne is an easy stroll away as is the beach and all the other attractions such as theatres, Towner Gallery and shopping. The cottage is very close to two high quality pay-and-play golf courses; The Royal Eastbourne and Eastbourne Downs golf clubs.
Linen and regular towels are provided (please bring your beach towels) as with all our holiday cottages South coast. WiFi is provided and many power points throughout the property have USB charging points incorporated. Parking is free of charge on the private road outside.
With beautiful beaches and wonderful walking opportunities nearby, we are are pleased that this is one of our dog friendly cottages in Eastbourne. A well behaved, small-to-medium sized, neutered adult dog might be considered. Please call to discuss our selective dog friendly accommodation policy (a £50 supplement per dog applies).

Immaculately presented cosy cottage perfect for our break away, a real home from home. Everything was catered for in the house so we could literally arrive and settle in straight away. Very close to local amenities and shops, and only a short drive to Eastbourne pier and waterfront. Fast and reliable contact with Carl and Sarah who were great hosts made the whole experience seamless. Will gladly look to stay here again if we find ourselves back to Eastbourne.

Visiting family and taking in Airbourne. Had the opportunity to visit Eastbourne recently with my sons and was pleased to find St Mary's Cottage available. It is in a great location, easy walk to the seafront and a supermarket and 3 great restaurants nearby. The cottage itself is immaculate and very comfortable, it had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again
Wirklich wundervoll. Ein sehr schönes, modern eingerichtetes Haus, es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, man merkt, dass sich jemand viele Gedanken gemacht hat. Es fängt an mit einem Willkommenskorb mit Kaffee und Kakao, gefolgt von einem Kamin, ein schönes Wohn- und Esszimmer, das Badezimmer ist klasse - eine tolle Dusche, wer mag, kann auch baden: wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Die Küche hat auch alles, was benötigt wird. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Ausreichend Stauraum für die Kleidung ist vorhanden. Ganz in der Nähe ist ein Pub, Restaurants, unweit gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Es liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet. Mit dem Zug ist man in ca. 1,5 Stunden in London. Das Auto stellt man einfach am Bahnhof ab. Der Pier ist auch wunderschön und lädt zum Schlendern ein. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und kommen gerne wieder! (Really wonderful. A very nice, modern furnished house, it is lovingly furnished, you can tell, that someone has made many thoughts. It starts with a welcome basket with coffee and cocoa, followed by a fireplace, a beautiful living and dining room, the bathroom is great - a great shower, who likes, can also swim: we felt very comfortable, The kitchen also has everything needed. The bedrooms are very nicely decorated. Ample storage space for clothing is available. Nearby is a pub, restaurants, and there are shopping opportunities nearby. It is located in a quiet residential area. By train you are in about 1.5 hours in London. The car is easy to turn off at the train station. The pier is also beautiful and invites you to stroll. We had a great week and like to come back!)
This is a wonderful, clean, modern and comfortable cottage. If like me you are keen to go walking on the South Downs then the location is perfect as well.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short breaks may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the cottage.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent. Strictly no smoking throughout the house.
