Get in touch to discuss an assistance pet
Unless otherwise stated, we operate a no-pets policy at our properties.
However, trained assistance dogs accompanying disabled guests are welcome in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Guests bringing an assistance dog are asked to notify us at the time of booking where possible, so we can ensure suitable arrangements are in place.
We may ask reasonable questions to confirm that a dog is a trained assistance dog assisting with a disability. This may include asking:
- whether the dog is required because of a disability;
- what tasks or assistance the dog has been trained to provide;
- whether the dog is trained for public access and under control.
Where available, supporting identification from a recognised assistance dog organisation may be helpful, although this is not mandatory.
Emotional support animals, therapy animals, comfort animals, and pets are not classified as assistance dogs under UK law and are therefore not permitted unless agreed in writing in advance.
Assistance dogs must remain under control at all times, must not be left unattended in the property, and guests remain responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning required beyond normal use.
If you have any questions before booking, please contact us on +44 (0)1323 40 60 90 or email us at info@exclusivelyeastbourne.co.uk and we will be happy to help.
