South coast cottages with charm and style
With easy access to all that is enticing in Eastbourne – think coastal walks, miles of promenade, iconic landmarks such as the Victorian pier, cultural delights at the numerous theatres and award-winning Towner Gallery – The Snug offers a super choice for couples looking for south coast cottages.
This charming Eastbourne holiday cottage has been completely refurbished to a very high standard to create a cosy, sweet bolthole for up to two adults.
The cottage is an annexe to a rather grand Grade II-listed home in Old Town Eastbourne, with glorious gardens which offer views towards the 12th century St Mary’s church and moments from Motcombe Gardens, with its duck pond and tranquility.
You’ll want to check out The Lamb Inn, a 12th century pub with food a couple of minutes’ stroll away, locate Love All Cafe in nearby Gildredge Park (their homemade cakes are truly divine), enjoy Pizzarelli Pizzas up the road or stock up at Waitrose up the road and hunker down in your couples retreat.
Better counter that calorific intake with some invigorating cliff-top walks along Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters in the South Downs National Park – Eastbourne sits on the Eastern edge of the park and offers outstanding scenery and opportunities to roam.
Based in atmospheric Old Town, Eastbourne itself and the pier and seafront is just over a mile away so well within easy range.
If you need further Eastbourne holiday cottages to enjoy a break with friends or family members, this holiday home is located next door to one-bedroom Vine Cottage.
