Located in Sovereign Harbour, this first floor apartment overlooks the playful waves and beaches of Eastbourne. ‘The Reef’ offers far-reaching sea views from the kitchen, bedroom, living area and private balcony – be sure to capture a glimpse at low tide and see if you can spot the capsized WW2 ship?  The apartment has lift access if you don’t fancy climbing a full flight of stairs, however there are some steps to the communal front door.

A short walk along the marina promenade lies the busy ‘Waterfront‘ area, bustling with delicious cafes, restaurants and bars. This hot spot is a great place to grab a morning coffee or a spot of afternoon lunch in the sun, while admiring the yachts and cruisers moored alongside.

Within the property there is an attractive blend of modern features with some traditional furnishings. It is a wonderfully spacious and relaxing base to recover from those long days exploring the shores of Eastbourne.

A king-sized bed, built in wardrobe, Smart TV and ensuite shower room make up the bedroom. There is a second separate family bathroom that has a bath and shower over. Handrail fittings have been installed in both bathrooms for ease of access.

The kitchen is modern and spacious and comes fully equipped with a fridge freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer and an array of cooking utensils and crockery. With those all important sea views you can prepare meals whilst still getting lost in the surroundings!

The living area is the perfect place to unwind with french doors leading onto your private terrace balcony. If you ever manage to find yourself away from the views there is a large Smart TV, DVD and a VCR player. A selection of DVDs, videos and games are available for your use.

Linen and towels are included with the property and for stays longer than a week a second set will be supplied. There is also an allocated parking space and free WiFi.

High quality accommodation in quiet environment . The apartment is nicely situated in a modern, well maintained block. The interior is well furnished and everything works as it should. The linen is clean and fresh and the mattress and bedding likewise. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a good-sized fridge-freezer, proper oven and gas hob. The washer-drier disappoints taking an age to dry clothes but, as this is overwhelmingly a summer residence we hung clothes to dry on the balcony. North Sovereign Harbour takes a bit of time to understand.... very few properties appear to be occupied so it is very quiet (End of May) Access to shops and the cinema is a bracing walk to South harbour. No problem unless you have mobility issues. There's a frequent bus service to Eastbourne and further afield if you do. If you are looking for easy access to Eastbourne do remember that the town is a 30 minute bus ride away, 15 minute car ride with difficult parking at busy times. For us the location was good, the apartment comfortable, functional and clean. Having an en-suite and separate bathroom together with the balcony clinched the deal. Highly recommended but remember it is not in the centre of Eastbourne!

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Sunday to Sunday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short breaks may be possible out of season or last minute.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable £200 deposit per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
