Elegant yet charming holiday home in Lower Meads Eastbourne

Silverdale Mews ticks all the boxes as a desirable Eastbourne holiday home – a sweet mews cottage set just a few minutes walk from the Grand Hotel, seafront and theatres.  This charming holiday home is close to Moira House, St Andrews and Bedes schools and the Brighton University campus.

Set in a recently converted mews enclave, the holiday home is filled with natural light for a relaxing feel.

The holiday cottage has two bedrooms providing ideal accommodation for up to four adults or great space for a family.  One bedroom provides a double bed whilst the second bedroom is flexible and can be set up as a kingsize or with twin beds (please advise when booking).

Upstairs, the lounge has a comfortable L-shaped sofa in front of a smart TV with Freeview (don’t forget your Netflix log-in details!) with an additional easy chair.

Off the lounge is a delightful balcony which allows light to cascade into the room, with seating and a small table outside. A shower room with walk in shower completes the first floor.

Downstairs the spacious kitchen diner leads off the entrance hall along with a downstairs cloakroom for added convenience.

The immaculate kitchen is well equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, electric hob, toaster, kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine, plus all the utensils you’ll need for a fully self-catering holiday home. There is also a smart TV, and a handy utility room houses a microwave and a washer dryer.

The dining table seats four people and there are additional easy chairs, making this a great space for reminiscing about the day’s adventures.

Holiday homes Eastbourne – close to beach, theatres and pier

This Eastbourne holiday home is perfectly positioned for Meads High Street, full of independent shops and with two pubs (we’re particularly find of The Pilot), and a very easy stroll the seafront and promenade (about five minutes).

The recently refurbished Congress, Devonshire Park and Winter Garden theatres and Towner Art Gallery are less than a 10-minute walk away and central Eastbourne, with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes, is a similar stroll away.

Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters clifftops and South Downs National Park, are also about a mile away and a must-visit for invigorating walks and amazing views. You could easily venture inland to the delightful villages of East Dean and Friston.

All linen and towels are provided (but please bring your own beach / swimming towels) with additional linen supplied for stays or more than a week as with all our holiday homes Eastbourne.  Free WiFi is available, plus private allocated parking in the carport.

Beautiful Mews House. I stayed here with a friend for a weekend in March. The house has everything you need: the kitchen's well equipped and sociable, the lounge and beds comfortable, 2 smart tvs, bluetooth speaker, washer dryer, there was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. Everything is good quality and well looked after. The location is great! Eastbourne is a lovely town and here you’re perfectly positioned for the town centre, shops and restaurants in Meads and Little Chelsea and less than 5 mins stroll to the seafront. We will definitely come back in the summer, thank you.

Smoking is not permitted in this property.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the morning of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on before you depart. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonably messy or dirty state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
