Firstly, the landlords Exclusive Eastbourne delivers a great service. They are attentive and service minded. We had a few issues with the apartment during our 6 weeks stay but they fixed them quickly and even when we were out. The location is perfect. It is surprisingly quiet. Close to Eastbourne college, shopping, the beach and the downs. On street parking is easy even during the week of Eastbourne tennis tournament.
Loved this coastal getaway. We were visiting the UK from the States and spent a couple of weeks along the coast. Eastbourne is such a great area - close to Brighton, Alfriston and of course the amazing Seven Sisters cliffs - and I love the fact that London is only 90 minutes away by train. We'd been to Eastbourne once before, but hadn't loved the flat we used the first time, so we took a try at this one. This flat was fantastic. It's quiet and charming, yet spacious and oh-so close to the beach (including the South Downs walk, which we adored). It looks like they've done some work on it recently, as the paint seemed fresh, the furniture was cute and in nice shape, and ... yes, I must admit I care about these things ... it had a large screen (new) TV. The kitchen was stocked with pans and was easy to use. We didn't cook there too often as the area has so much to offer, but had we wanted to stay in and cook, it would have been quite easy and well set up. There's a great wine bar (Levels) around the corner, and a vegetarian restaurant that really surprised me (forgetting the name of it now, but I'll post again if I recall). Lots of shopping nearby, coffee bars, etc all very walkable. We had a friend visit so the extra bedroom was handy, and the bed in the master was just lovely. Having 2 bathrooms in the flat was a plus for guests. The price seemed really fair, and we'd definitely stay again. May even do longer next time as this place felt very homey - made us feel like locals - and I could see staying there longer term.
