There won’t be many holiday flats in Eastbourne like Secret Garden. True to its name this holiday apartment not only boasts a great central location, it also includes a rare, completely private and fantastically kept hidden garden at the back of the property.
When on holiday it is important to have a great base in a great location and with this self catering accommodation, you are perfectly placed to reach Eastbourne’s main attractions all within a short walking distance. The beautiful Eastbourne coastline and long stretching promenade are literally at the end of the road (less than 100 metres away), with the town centre, dozens of delicious restaurants and the theatres also just five minutes from your door.
If you take a stroll heading west along the promenade you soon reach the foot of the South Downs (a 15 minute walk). The South Downs are home to the famous white cliffs of Beachy Head and offer breathtaking views – the first hill is quite a climb but we can assure you the rewards at the top will far outweigh the initial challenge.
The garden at the back of the property has an entrance leading round to the road, and as the gate is locked it is possible to store your bikes if you want to bring these.

The apartment is primarily a large one-bedroom with a kingsize bed. However there is a second box room, set off the lounge, with a double bed that will sleep one further adult or two children. There is a £50 supplement per person per week for more guests than two.
The spacious and light living room has two comfortable sofas set in front of the TV, plus there is a DVD player and a selection of films for you to enjoy during your stay.
Head through to the kitchen which is fully equipped and prepared for the culinary geniuses. There is a fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, oven, hob and a vast selection of cooking utensils. A breakfast table by the window gives a great spot for a morning coffee, and there’s also a second dining table in the lounge itself.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. Linen and regular towels will be provided for your stay (bring your own beach towels) and a second set will be supplied for guests staying longer than a week.
The real gem of this property is the lovely private garden, where the owners have created a relaxing oasis – a surprising bonus in the centre of a busy town. With wonderfully cut plants, trees and bushes, the air exudes a calming fragrance and with an outdoor table and chairs, it offers a great place to enjoy a glass of wine.
The property also includes free WiFi and although a car is far from essential, parking permits can be purchased at £1 per day.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Friday to Friday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
