Stunning views over the sea and Eastbourne pier
Moments from Eastbourne Pier and with the beach and promenade literally over the road, this delightful holiday apartment makes for ideal Sussex self catering accommodation.
Imagine popping outside for a paddle, a dip in the sea or a saunter to a beachside cafe for a coffee and croissant (or a full-on fry-up – well, you’re on holiday!).
You’ll adore the location and the proximity to many of Eastbourne must-sees – not just to potter along to the iconic pier (try the Victorian Tea Rooms for a classic old-school cream tea), take in the carpet gardens (just back from the beach and now back to their full glory with blooms aplenty) or to take a picnic on the slopes of the Wish Tower.
Eastbourne Theatres, including the Congress and Devonshire Park, have packed programmes throughout the year (my family are still buzzing from a riotous night watching Mamma Mia live), the award-winning Towner offers a tantalising mix of often-free exhibitions and film showings and the Grove theatre offers an interesting mix of (literally) underground theatre, music and comedy.
Set on the third (top) floor of a seafront property (no lift, so there are stairs to navigate), this East Sussex self catering holiday apartment offers captivating views of the sparkling sea and Eastbourne pier from the bedroom and living room.
There is a split-level layout which helps create a feeling of extra space, with the bedroom and lounge on the upper level, overlooking the sea whilst the kitchen and bathroom are slightly lower and at the rear of the building.
The comfy leather sofa and large TV in the lounge certainly offer a certain lure, but I doubt you’ll often prise yourself away from the high table and chairs from where you can watch the boats float by or the holiday-makers meander along the pier.
The bedroom has even more (!) priceless views of the sea and comes with a comfy double bed and handy storage.
The kitchen offer all the Sussex self catering you’ll need for freedom and independence (really, who fancies poky hotel rooms these days?), with gas hob, oven, full fridge freezer and washing machine.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower over.
