Bicknell Lascelles penthouse apartment is just a short stroll away from the Devonshire Park tennis centre, Eastbourne’s theatres, the Towner Art Gallery and the Wish Tower. You are truly in the heart of this wonderful seaside town, just one road along also offering delicious tapas and Italian restaurants.
Still not convinced? Well… just a short 15 minute walk away lies Meads village with quaint shops and access to the South Downs. An exhilarating climb and you’ll soon reach the white cliffs of Beachy Head and the rolling hills that make up the Seven Sisters. The Beachy Head Pub delivers tasty British dishes, perfectly matched with a glass or two of well deserved wine.
Central penthouse in the perfect location
The property is built in a mezzanine style, split across two floors. As you enter the property you immediately benefit from the ceiling skylight that pours in natural light. The first few steps lead to a double bedroom and the main bathroom, which includes a toilet, sink and bath with a shower attachment.
Up another half flight of stairs and you reach the master bedroom, which can be set up as a kingsize or with twin beds, and boasts an ensuite shower room. To the end of the hall is the third bedroom, a twin, so this lovely apartment can sleep up to six.
Finishing the property layout is the open plan living area, which has an inviting L-shaped sofa perfectly placed to gaze out of the window or to relax in front of the TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a washer-dryer and all the cooking utensils and cutlery you will need for a self catering break.
Towels and linen are provided (bring your own beach towels) and for stays longer than a week a second set will be supplied. Free WiFi is included and parking permits can provided at £1 a day for those bringing a car, although with such a central location you’ll manage fine without.

Excellent stay in Eastbourne. The apartment has been recently refurbished, nice and well equipped. It can daily host up to 6 people. We really enjoyed our stay!
This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or apartment building.
There is a week-long minimum stay in peak season and bookings run from Sunday to Sunday, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible out of season and last minute.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
