This newly-refurbished holiday studio is located just off the seafront in the popular Meads village area of Eastbourne.  Opposite Bedes School, and a stone’s throw from a pathway leading to the South Downs, this is a great location for anyone wanting to enjoy walking and beach relaxation.

Located within a private house, Holywell Studio boasts its own private entrance and outside patio area, and you can gaze sideways through the French doors over the seafront to the water glistening beyond.

This stylish, adults-only holiday studio can be set up with twin beds or as a super kingsize, so it would suit couples or friends sharing.

Open up the French doors to the lovely, private, paved patio area, complete with outdoor dining set – ideal for enjoying a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee when the sun is shining.   Along with a private, off-road parking space, these are bonus facilities rarely found with one bedroom apartments, let alone studio properties.

This holiday studio has a small kitchenette, with an integrated fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, and you’ll have enough tea and coffee for welcome drinks and a few breakfast goodies to get you started.  It isn’t a fully equipped kitchen – it doesn’t have an oven, hob or kitchen sink – but it does have much more space and flexibility than a hotel room.

An iron and ironing board, hairdryer, crockery/cutlery and cleaning equipment are stored in one cupboard and there is another double wardrobe for your clothes.

The spacious main room also includes some comfy seating in front of a Smart TV, which gives you access to internet-based TV services, such as BBCiPlayer and Netflix (if you have an account), as well as the usual digital channels.   There is also a DVD player and WiFi access.

A separate, private, brand new bathroom has a walk-in shower and you’ll be provided with all towels and linen.

Meads village is literally around the corner, giving handy access to the Co-op and Tesco Express, as well as a independent shops and facilities, such as a lovely delicatessen and a hairdresser.   The Ship Inn and Pilot are both great pubs that offer decent food, and there are several cafes, plus a newly-launched Chinese restaurant to try.  The wider facilities and restaurants of central Eastbourne are around a 25 minute walk away.

Bookings are in week-long blocks, from Saturday to Saturday, although flexible arrival days and short stays may be possible last minute and in low season.

As well as a holiday studio this makes for an ideal short let for up to a month should you need short term accommodation.

We stayed here for a week recently and can honestly say it was a perfect little place for a break. The studio itself could put some 5 star hotels to shame. Furnishings and fittings are of a extremely high standard and it has everything a couple need for a relaxing break. Turn right outside and within 50 yards you are at the start of the walk up to Beachy Head and on to the Birling Gap and Seven Sisters. Wonderful countryside. Turn left and the beach is a few hundred yards away or carry on for a stroll into Eastbourne where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The Pilot Inn 100 yards around the corner is most welcoming and the food is lovely. Everything you need is on your doorstep and it includes a parking space. Thoroughly recommend this studio.

Beautiful studio. Studio is close to the sea, Beachy Head and Helen Gardens. The Meads local shops, pubs and cafe's are around the corner. Clean, well equipped and furnished studio. Comfortable settee and bed. Helpful on site owners

The accommodation was excellent. There were lots of leaflets suggesting places of interest. There were lots of walks easy and more strenuous. Local shops well stocked for daily needs. But the standard of accommodation was brilliant, you name it and it was there, also nothing was done on the cheap. It was so comfortable. The owners did not bother or interfere but if I saw them they asked was everything alright.

This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted. Adults-only property.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short stays (minimum three nights) may be possible out of season and last minute.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
