Two bedroom holiday apartment designed for relaxation
Holiday apartment Eastbourne designed for comfort, the 4* gold-rated Duke’s holiday apartment is ideally located on Chiswick Place, close to the theatres such as Congress and Devonshire Park, restaurants, cafes, Viking International tennis and attractions and just two minutes walk from the delightful seafront – think iconic Eastbourne Pier, Eastbourne bandstand and alluring carpet gardens.
This chic, split-level Eastbourne holiday apartment is set over the third and fourth floors of an impressive Victorian townhouse once owned by the Duke of Devonshire – so some stairs are involved, but well worth the effort for the extra space you’ll enjoy compared to many holiday apartments in Eastbourne.
Stylishly appointed and designed with relaxation and comfort in mind, the apartment has a large and luxurious bathroom with double jacuzzi bath and underfloor heating.
The immaculate kitchen-diner is fully kitted for self catering with modern appliances, including a dishwasher and a washer-dryer, while the lounge has a large Smart TV with DVD and an iPod docking station. The dining table comfortably seats five.
There are many hotels in Eastbourne, such as the Grand Hotel and Lansdowne Hotel, but once you’ve enjoyed the independence, space and flexibility of self-catering accommodation you may be unlikely ever to return to the confines of a hotel again!
Take a swim in the sea (Eastbourne is perfect for Wild Swimming as the tides are quite benign and waves pretty flat given the location in the English Channel, and you can wade a long way out at low tide when sand is exposed) or head up onto the South Downs National Park which sits just over the Meads headland – for an inspirational and invigorating walk along the cliffs.
Head along Beachy Head, along the Seven Sisters, past Belle Tout lighthouse and along to Birling Gap. Walk half a mile inland to enjoy lunch at The Tiger Inn at East Dean and then up to Friston Forest, The Star In at Alfriston or the hills around Willingdon (we have fab holiday accommodation in all these areas, too).
Stylish apartment in fantastic location. Stylish apartment in a fantastic location a few mins to the coast and all amenities. The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated, very well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. Very highly recommended!Sef S null
