Short term rental with garden by the South Downs
The Den offers a wood-side short term rental, nestled literally at the foot of the South Downs in Old Town, Eastboune.
There is a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, with a wood-burning stove, wooden floorboards and under-floor heating in the hallway, and with the house being surrounded by greenery it has the feeling of a hidden retreat.
Three bedrooms provide accommodation for up to five people so is ideal for families or workers in need of a short term rental.

The master bedroom provides a double bed and enjoys far reaching views over Eastbourne and the sea, with Kent also visible on a clear day, plus Bexhill and Hastings.
The second bedroom upstairs has a single bed and stacks of natural light. There is a third bedroom on the ground floor with has bunk beds to sleep up to two people.
There is a family bathroom with a shower over.
Eastbourne Old Town offers atmospheric history, with a 12th century church with Norman elements offering food for the soul, whilst The Lamb pub (also dating from the 12th century) provides more practical sustenance and conviviality.
Waitrose supermarket is close by for any necessary supplies or perhaps delights for a picnic you could enjoy in Gildredge Park, up on the Downs or in Motcombe Gardens.
All linen and towels are provided, with additional linen supplied for stays of more than a week. Free WiFi is provided and there is also an allocated parking space in front of the garage and more parking available on the street.
The South Downs National Park is literally on your doorstep for invigorating cliff-top walks and spectacular views – or take in the many historic sites within very easy reach such as Pevensey and Battle (William the Conqueror landed at Pevensey Bay about a mile away, to change the course of English history in 1066).

Property AddressDen Hill
There is a three-week-long minimum stay.
The house is strictly no smoking and parties are not permitted. Guests must respect the pool rules (see full terms and conditions) and children must be supervised at all times, as there is a laburnum tree in the grounds (plant/fruit are poisonous) and a steep stairway internally.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £500 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
Photo identification (e.g passport, driving license) and proof of address of lead guest must be provided. These can be scanned versions at time of booking, with original documents to be presented at check in.
