Coastal Cottage is a rare treat indeed, directly overlooking the beach at Pevensey Bay,  ideal for those in search of peace and relaxation and some beach-based therapy.  With three bedrooms and a bathroom per bedroom, this is also a great option for work colleagues who enjoy their own space.

Irrespective of season you will find the house and views mesmerising and enticing, with ever-changing colours and light. There is nothing quite like the sound of the waves and an outlook over the horizon to help you unwind from the stresses and strains of modern life.

On warm days, you can soak up this therapeutic sea scene from your balcony or while lounging in your beach garden.  On winter days, simply close the sliding doors, light up your log burner and gaze at the crashing waves from the cosy comfort of your well-appointed lounge.

Downstairs there is a real sense of space. With three reception rooms downstairs you can choose to take it easy in the sitting room on two large comfy sofas in front of the TV or in the comfortable but classic wooden armchair or read a book in the study perhaps.

Doors lead through to an inviting bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area, which will be a prime space for socialising, planning adventures and relaxing.

The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is fully equipped for a self catering break, including a dishwasher, oven, gas hob, built in microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine. A dining table seats six in front of French doors opening to and overlooking the decking and private, enclosed rear garden.

Upstairs, the three bedrooms offer great flexibility with one kingsize bedroom, one double and one twin, sleeping up to six. French doors lead directly from the two front bedrooms onto a private balcony, with the most spectacular views over the beach and sea.

Upstairs, there is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, plus another separate shower room with toilet.  There is also a downstairs toilet and shower room so no need to queue for the facilities in the morning!

The house is toasty warm all year round, with modern double glazing and fully controllable central heating and underfloor heating in the kitchen and dining area.

A well behaved adult dog which has been spayed / neutered might be considered, so this is a great spot for dog friendly beach holidays with a selection of local dog friendly pubs and cafes. Please ask about our selective dog friendly policy (a £50 supplement per dog applies).

WiFi is provided, plus all towels and linen but please bring your own towels for swimming or the beach. There is parking in front of the house and garden for one vehicle with an additional space in front of the garage.

Pevensey High Street is just a very easy stroll away.  The bus stop for Eastbourne, Bexhill and beyond is just three minutes walk away and the train station just 15 minutes, so this property is perfect for those needing easy transport links.

This lovely beach-facing property is part of a characterful row of terraced properties on a private road. Parties are not permitted and guests are asked to respect the tranquility of this lovely location (and neighbours!) and keep noise low when they are relaxing on the glorious balcony or in the garden.

Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited throughout the house and balcony.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Friday to Friday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and short breaks may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the cottage.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
