This characterful holiday cottage provides relaxing accommodation in a prime Meads location close to Moira House, St Andrews and Bedes schools and Brighton University campus. This property is also a top selection for one of the few dog friendly cottages in Eastbourne.

An adjoining home to a larger coach house, the holiday cottage has been completely refurbished throughout for a contemporary feel, with a brand new kitchen, including granite worktops.

The muted colours throughout the house lend a calming atmosphere and the location (up a private gravel drive) is surrounded by trees, gardens and bird-song so you’ll want to make full use of the terrace at the rear of the house.

The entrance leads into a bright, spotless open-plan lounge-diner-kitchen, with light cascading through the French doors from the patio.

There are two new sofas for comfortable seating in front of a large digital TV and coffee table so there is plenty of room to stretch out. There is also a a Blu-Ray DVD player for your use.

The dining table provides seating for four people in front of the patio door and terrace making mealtimes a delight. Alternatively, make use of the stools at the breakfast bar.

The immaculate and well equipped kitchen provides a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, toaster, kettle and microwave, plus all the utensils you’ll need for fully self-catered accommodation.

The large entrance area provides a useful area to kick off the shoes after an invigorating days walking or sightseeing, with good built-in storage for coats and bags as well as iron and ironing board.

Head upstairs for two good-sized bedrooms for sleeping up to four people. One bedroom has a double bed and triple wardrobe (no need to go easy on the packing here), whilst the other bedroom offers twin beds for great flexibility and ideal space for a family or friends enjoying a holiday away together.

There is a spotless bathroom which provides a bath with shower over.

The holiday cottage is perfectly positioned for Meads High Street, full of independent shops and two pubs, and an easy stroll the seafront and promenade.

The Congress, Devonshire Park and Winter Garden theatres and Towner Gallery are no more than a 10-minute walk away and the town centre with the wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafe about a mile away, so well within walking range.

Beachy Head, the Seven Sister and South Downs National Park, are also about a mile away and a must-visit for invigorating walks and amazing views. You could easily take a look at the delightful villages of East Dean and Friston, just inland.

A small-medium neutered / spayed adult dog may be considered if they’re well behaved and will remain on the ground floor – please contact us to discuss your requirements and let us know a little more about your dog (£50 supplement will apply).

All linen and towels are provided, with additional linen supplied for stays or more than a week at this holiday cottage.  Free WiFi is available, plus off-street allocated parking.

This property accepts dogs only with prior approval (surcharge applies). Smoking is not permitted.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Sunday to Sunday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.

Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.

The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on before you depart. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonably messy or dirty state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.

Small, well behaved adult neutered/spayed dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact the Exclusively team to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / wet paws before entering the cottage

The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.

The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
