Located on the raised ground floor and all on one level (with just 11 steps leading into the building), this holiday apartment provides easy access and there is a spacious feel thanks to the high ceilings and open plan nature in the historic building. It sleeps up to four with a double room (kingsize bed), as well as an additional twin room (two singles).
This sea view self catering holiday rental has recently been refurbished throughout for a contemporary feel. There are two new immaculate wet-rooms providing walk-in showers as well as modern fittings throughout.
Take in the views from the spacious open-plan living room thanks to a huge, floor-to-ceiling window plus French doors which open to your private balcony. This living space has comfortable sofas and a dining table with seating for four.
The separate kitchen is well equipped for self catering holidays in Eastbourne, with oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster and washer-dryer and all the utensils you’ll need (you’ll even find a few starter essentials, such as Fairy liquid, tea towel and enough tea and coffee for a welcome drink).

You’re very centrally located, almost within touching distance of some fine cafes and restaurants, whilst the Arndale Centre is being currently refurbished with a huge selection of new eateries as well as a multiplex cinema.
Beachy Head makes for an invigorating walk from the apartment, set within the scenic South Downs National Park, along the cliffs along to the Belle Tout lighthouse and beyond, to Birling Gap and the Cuckmere Valley, with sensational views for many miles.
All linen and towels are provided but please bring your own towels for the beach and swimming. Additional linen will be supplied for stays of more than a week as with all our waterview properties. Free WiFi is also provided and parking permits are available for just £1 per day (free on Sundays).
With fully controllable heating you can be toasty warm all year round in this sea view self catering apartment in Eastbourne.

Apartment on the seafront - The property was everything advertised. The location and closeness to amenities was of great advantage. My Family enjoyed their stay and would like to return.
We (two teenage boys and I) had a great time in the flat. The location is unbeatable as it’s right opposite the pier, yet shops are only 5 minutes’ walk away. The flat had everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board, a washing machine and a clothes horse. Nicely furnished and three very modern TVs. Two great bathrooms and we loved the electric blinds! We’d love to stay there again next time we’re in Eastbourne!

Lovely centrally situated sea front apartment. Visited Eastbourne with my partner for a weeks holiday including spending a couple of days at the tennis tournament. Wanted somewhere central and comfortable and although we had events planned we wanted accommodation where we would be happy to spend time relaxing in. 'By the Pier' completely met our needs: light, spacious rooms, thoughtfully decorated and furnished; two very good en-suites and a well provided kitchen. A few words about the 'Exclusively Eastbourne' team: although we were delayed on our journey and about 2 hours over our planned arrival time Carl was there to meet us at the apartment, hand over the keys and answer any questions and inform us that if we had any concerns at all regarding the accommodation that they were at the end of the phone - very friendly guy. They had provided a very comprehensive and informative folder detailing how everything (cooker, electric blinds, etc) worked and details of local restaurants and services. They also arranged parking permits for us which were £1 a day - very reasonable. They also provided a 'welcome pack' of tea, coffee, milk etc - which enabled us to have much needed refreshments after a lengthy journey before going out to get shopping. Just a few words about car parking: parking is at a premium near to the sea front in central Eastbourne, this was initially a concern for us when we arrived (5.15 p.m Saturday evening) as the only space we could get was about a quarter of a mile away however later in the evening we were able to find a place about 100 yds from the apartment and we never needed to use the car for the duration of out holiday. To sum up: By the Pier is a lovely apartment and we would certainly return or consider other self catering accommodation in the Exclusively Eastbourne portfolio.

IDEAL FOR PEOPLE WATCHING + PERFECT LOCATION Lovely, clean, pleasantly furnished, refurbished apartment in an ideal location. We needed a place to unwind and this served its purpose perfectly. The balcony, with table and 2 chairs, was ideal for eating snacks, taking in the sun and watching the world go by. The Pier Clock chimed every quarter hour from 8am to 11pm, which was perfect for me as I was waiting for laser eye surgery at the time and unable to see a watch face. The apartment was equipped sufficiently for our needs of 2 adults. Both en-suites were modern wet rooms. There was plenty of storage for us. We didn't use the car all week, walking and also using the cute train to stop at places a little further along the coast in either direction for a minimal sum. We also went on the open top bus tour over Beachy Head. We had 6 days of sun, so very fortunate. Plenty of frequent transport available from over the road to venture to places further away. We recommend the Crown and Anchor [a lively pub] and The Belgian Cafe [quieter, does wonderful mussels and has its own brewery on site] for excellent inexpensive meals and 5 min walk away. A well equipped, handy Tesco's Express is 3 min walk away. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but we used the nearby Queens Hotel [paid for a couple of hours parking] to offload, paid the £1 daily Parking Permit charge for designated street parking, gradually moving to a nearer location suitable for loading up the car for departure. We would have no doubts about returning here.

This property does not accept pets. Smoking is not permitted.
There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday basis in peak season, although flexible arrival days and shorter stays may be possible out of season or last minute.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £200 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (the booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
