And if you’re feeling energetic, you can always have a workout in the endless pool, swimming towards the blue sea…
Holiday lettings in Pevensey Bay have come a long way… Bubbles on the Beach is chic and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows from the huge living area and two of its bedrooms assuring fabulous sea views. An upmarket beach house, it is the perfect spot to enjoy beguiling sunsets on the private beach or to take a dip at first light.
This stylish, light-filled oasis has four bedrooms and – with the double sofabed in the snug made up – can accommodate groups of up to 10. Naturally it’s a summer delight, but the toasty heating and a log-burner in the lounge ensures it’s a treat year round.
Walking into the huge open plan lounge-diner, you will inevitably be drawn towards the breathtaking views of the beach, yet when darkness falls, the large TV, complete with surround sound system, will also be a draw. Two large sofas are set in the entertainment area, where you can pop a disc into the BluRay player, switch on BT YouView or log into your Netflix account and, if the evening turns chilly, pop a log into the woodburning stove.
A large oak dining table can extend to seat 10, and is well positioned to take in the views. Two further sofas by the sliding doors offer the perfect nook to curl up with a book or just watch the waves – and there is an iPhone speaker if you want some music while you relax.
The separate kitchen is modern and very well designed. As well as the usual fridge-freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, regular oven/grill and microwave, you’ll find a built in steamer oven and a warming oven. The snug downstairs offers a second oven if you’re catering for a large group and need the additional cooking space, and there is a wine cooler, washing machine and tumble dryer down there too. This useful second living space also has another TV and sofabed to lounge on.
The master bedroom is kingsize, with bags of drawers and a four-section mirrored wardrobe for storage, plus a spacious ensuite shower room. This bedroom boasts sea views, as does the other kingsize bedroom. The third and fourth bedrooms are both twins, and one has a handy desk area, complete with Wii console. The main bathroom has a fabulous double jacuzzi shower bath and there is also a third toilet, so no need to queue if someone is making the most of the jets!

If you are looking for dog friendly cottages with hot tubs, this Pevensey Bay beach house could still be an option, as long as you keep your pooch out of the spa – well-behaved, neutered adult dogs are considered (supplement will apply, please call to discuss your pet).
If you ever leave the house, the shops and restaurants of Pevensey high street are just a few minutes walk away. There are many walks easily accessible for keen ramblers and the South Downs National Park is a short drive or bus trip away.
The Pevensey area is fill of historic gems, such as Pevensey and Herstmonceux Castles. Pevensey Levels is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and lies just inland. This is packed with birdlife and rare insects and plants, so will prove a real draw for nature lovers.
It’s also a very short 10 minute drive to Bexhill where you can visit the wonderful De La Warr contemporary art gallery and auditorium, to take in an exhibition or performance. This is set in a Grade I modernist building right on the seafront.
This Pevensey Bay beach house has off-street parking for five or six vehicles. WiFi is provided as are towels and linen (please bring your own beach towels). You’ll also find hotel-style toiletries and enough tea, coffee and milk for welcome drinks.

There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Friday to Friday in peak season, although flexible arrival days and shorter stays may be possible out of season or last minute.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £500 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or load into the dishwasher and switch on. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit.
The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
