Set on a private beach in tranquil Normans Bay, you’ll feel completely removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life the moment you arrive. This quiet cove is peaceful and relaxing, yet close to the shops and facilities of Pevensey, and only six miles from the larger attractions of Eastbourne.
The View is a spacious, detached family beach house set in its own section of private beach which sleeps up to six people across three bedrooms, so is ideal for families or friends sharing. There is a seaside decked area overlooking the private beach, plus large, sculpted, Spanish-styled gardens with built-in barbecue to the rear of the house.
The ground floor boasts a 30-foot, L-shaped dining kitchen, with patio doors opening out to the decked area which leads directly on to the private beach. In the summer months, an outdoor dining table and chairs will be provided for alfresco meals while you soak up the tremendous views.
Inside, the stunning, contemporary kitchen has granite worktops, high quality gloss cabinets and is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge-freezer and a washer-dryer. The dining table is strategically placed to make the most of the view, and seats up to six.

However, step upstairs for the real WOW factor sea views. The lounge is set on the first floor and runs the whole width of the beach house, with huge, floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the panoramic vistas. Sliding doors open to an almost invisible, 30-foot balustrade balcony running the length of the lounge giving unobstructed views from inside and out along the coastline.
The lounge itself is tastefully attired, with bespoke artwork and leather sofas, plus a well-placed, contemporary chaise longue by the windows for the ultimate reading corner. A large TV and DVD player are available if you can tear your eyes away from the windows and of course, WiFi is provided.
The master bedroom on the top floor has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room. This floor also boasts a double bedroom and a separate family shower room. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom and WC.
There is plenty of parking to the rear of the property and all towels and linen are provided. Bookings are for a week-long minimum and the house is only available for specific periods of the year – so book fast to avoid disappointment!
The View in Normans Bay is located between Bexhill-on-Sea and Eastbourne, so offers easy access to both of these attractive seaside towns. Nearby historic attractions include Pevensey Castle, Hastings Castle and the beautiful Bodiam Castle. Culture vultures will enjoy the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne, plus Eastbourne’s four theatres and iconic bandstand, which plays host to many touring bands throughout the summer season.
There is a train station just five minutes’ walk away from the house in Norman’s Bay, which offers links to London, Gatwick Airport, Brighton, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings.

Lovely house in a brilliant location. We have just returned from a memorable and very enjoyable stay at ‘The View’ with our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. The location is truly stunning - we even saw some seals! The house is thoughtfully and stylishly designed to ensure that visitors can take advantage of the changing light and weather. We have never stayed in such a well-resourced kitchen (and we have stayed in many self-catering places) ! The agent (Exclusively Eastbourne) were great. Fast response to the booking and ready to meet us when we arrived. We highly recommend The View.
This property accepts pets only with prior approval (surcharge applies) so please call to discuss. Strictly no smoking and parties are not permitted.
There is a week-long minimum stay and bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in peak season, although flexible arrival days may be possible out of season.
Costs include the weekly rent, a £30 booking fee and a returnable £500 security deposit. To book requires an immediate, non-refundable deposit of £200 per week booked (booking fee and a portion of the rent) and then the balance, including the security deposit, is due by no later than six weeks before your arrival. For stays of three weeks or more, you may be asked to pay a higher security deposit and/or booking deposit.
The checkout time is 10am on the day of departure – a fine may be applied if you do not leave on time. Please leave the property in good order – dispose of rubbish in external bins and wash up any pots/dishes or place in the dishwasher and switch on before you leave. If the accommodation is left in an unreasonable state, requiring deep cleaning, the cost for this will be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit will be returned to you within 1-2 weeks of your departure, minus any deduction for damage, loss or excessive cleaning required.
Dogs are considered on a selective basis and, if approved, a supplement will apply. Please contact Exclusively Eastbourne to discuss your pet if you wish to bring them. Any pet given permission to come must not be allowed on the beds or furniture or left in the property alone. They must only use a pet bed and pet bowls that you bring with you. You will be expected to clean up after your pet and are liable for any damage it causes. Please bring a separate towel for your dog to wipe muddy / sandy paws before entering the cottage
The property can only be used for the maximum number shown on the booking correspondence. It must not be used for improper, illegal or immoral purposes. Guests must not sub-let the property and must not change, add, move or remove any items of furniture, furnishings or structures inside or outside. Guests must not cause (nor allow any visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, the property owner or the property owner’s agent.
Photo identification (e.g passport, driving license) and proof of address of lead guest must be provided. These can be scanned versions at time of booking, with original documents to be presented at check in.
